
Sick of getting wind all the hype about diets that really don’t work? Well here are some tips about losing that unwelcome water weight we all seem to gain! If you are heavy chances are you are not getting sufficient water. I mean the kind without sugary sweeteners or the new type on the market loaded with minerals and flavors to help your body out. If you are drinking that type of water chances are you are adding to the stress of your body not getting enough plain water.
If you drink ordinary water only once a day you are telling your body that water is scarce. This is something your body learned many years ago, thousands of years ago to be exact. Our bodies discovered in order to exist it needed to retain water. Well natural plain water is no longer scarce, over ½ of us; Americans buy more than 2 million bottles of water in a year!
I bet you are hearing this from everyone, if they are all saying drink more water then it must be true. Drinking more water 30-50 ounces more than you on a regular basis drink in a day will “trick” your body into releasing the extra water. You have utterly nothing to lose with this idea. Sounds to good to be true? Why not try it and see for yourself. If you are willing to drink 30-50 ounces of extra water a day I can assure you will lose 5-7 pounds of extra water weight in a month!
Are you sick of grabbing for the same high fat, high Carbohydrate snack? Wonderful because right in front of you at the fruit and veggie part of your grocery store you will find precisely what you need to help you trim inches and lose about 5 pounds a month. If we multiply 5 x 12(months) we get = 60 pounds! Just for having apples instead of candy, chips and other junk food for snacks! You are supposed to have 3-5 fruits and veggies in a day according to the National Food Pyramid. This is an easy way to get the portions you need! With the 5 grams of fiber in the apple you will be adding and additional 15 grams per day to your diet!
Don’t like apples? Well that’s ok, because you can also eat low calorie, high fiber yogurts. Reach for a “Dannon Active” or “CarbSmart” cup, which has 60 calories and 3 grams of Carbohydrates. What could be better? Other companies do exist on the market, but these two are my personal favorites!
